I have been wanting to write this post for so long, but I kept delaying it because other things kept coming up. But here it is:
So imagine a room filled with a group of girls, just chilling after an amazing night, talking about life. Well that was me and my friends after grad ball. We talked about many things but one of the things we spoke about was: regret.
As I reflected back on my 4 years at University, I realised that my most common regrets came from not speaking up or taking opportunities that came my way. Those opportunities might not have been amazing but it was the question of ‘What if it was amazing?’ or ‘What if this was the thing that could have changed you life.’
It made me realise that life is so short and what ifs are not great scenarios to go through in this short life. So, I say take the chances because you always regret the chances you didn’t take more than the ones you do.
Even if you are scared and not sure whether it will work out or not, just try it because you never know what is on the other end.
Today, take the opportunities that come your way or the chances that life is giving you. Say yes to that trip. Sign up to climb that mountain your friends keep encouraging you to do. Take that job that might be perfect but it scares you to much. Say yes to that relationship you have been wanting but to nervous to accept.
You don’t know whats on the other end unless you take that route.
