Drivers for change

A year ago today…

A year ago today, I got on a train to start a journey that was truly life-changing. That journey was Drivers for Change.

I still remember being so nervous and scared when stepping on to that train. Not knowing what to expect or what could happen. The idea of meeting 100 new people just scared. I didn’t know what they would be like and what I would do in that situation.

Little did I know that I was going to get friends for life in different cities and countries around the world. That I find a purpose in life; the purpose to always make a difference with my actions.

When I think back to it now, it makes me laugh as to why I was nervous or felt scared because the people turned out to be so lovely. Always motivating, full of life and energy and just changing the world one project at a time.

Why am I telling you this?

It’s simple. I decided to take a step outside of my comfort zone and try something new and it changed me and helped me learn so much about myself but also about the steps I want to take in the future.

In life, we can often become scared and not do things because they feel overwhelming. But sometimes, trying those new things and saying yes to those scary opportunities can be life- changing and can help you learn so much more than you would learn by staying in your comfort zone.

I am not asking you to always do crazy things or try things you are scared of. But once a month or once a week challenge yourself to do something you would never do otherwise. See where it takes you. It could be meeting up with a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Or saying yes to hanging out with that new colleague or in some cases just spending some time alone.

Try something new and see where it can take you!

Drivers for change was just the start of an exciting journey for me so let’s see where your journey takes you.
